The first Double Zero release next year will be a Smoking Popes tribute album. No bands are listed yet, but will be known in upcoming months.
Also "The Party's Over" is scheduled for release next Summer.
Expect solo albums from two of the Popes early next year. Josh Caterer has recorded demos with Eli for a new release and Mike Felumlee will be releasing a split solo CD with Dan Andriano from the Alkaline Trio. Both of these are expected to be released from Double Zero.

April
21, 2000 - I saw The Men's Group on the 19th at the
Double Door and they were fantastic. If you don't know, The Men's Group
is the band that Eli Caterer is playing in now, and he was great, as
usual. The rest of the band was amazing as well. Dan Strack, thier lead
guitar player and singer, has a voice that could rival the singer of any rock
band, and beat in many cases. Brian Barbier acted as the band's backbone
on bass, every rock band needs good bass and what he delivered was nothing short
of spectacular, a drummer's dream. Which brings us to, Mark Ruggiero
on drums. I've heard his work with Tom Daily and already knew he was good, so
I went in there knowing that the band would be good, but the energy he displayed
that night was tremendous and topped the band off perfectly. After the show
I got the chance to sit down and chat with Mark Ruggiero, who played
with Eli in Tom Daily's band and is in a few other bands at the moment.
He said that he is lucky to be in this band and that he could never ask for
a more talented group of guys to work with.
The band played eight songs all of which I thuroughly enjoyed. The one that amazed me the most would have to be Wooden though. Wooden was an instrumental that went on for like ten minutes and noone would've minded if it went on all night. The band defiantly has a unique style and a ton of talent and I definatly recommend that everyone sees them at least once to judge for themselves.

The Smoking Popes new album "Smoking Popes Live" is now available.
I don't know of any stores carrying it currently, though it is available through
many online music stores. I have ordered mine through CD
Now and recieved it within a week.
The album was recorded live during thier Destination Failure tour at the Metro in Chicago, on Thanksgiving of 1998. The quality is exceptional and the songs are thier best.
