Here's some long awaited word from This Is Me Smiling;
"Well, it has been about a year since I last wrote to you guys in one
of these messages.. I'll be lucky if half of your e-mail addresses
still work.We had an awesome time doing our record with Sean O'Keefe. So
awesome, in fact, that he joined the band after we finished the album.
He's now our drummer.. replacing our friend/legend Mike Felumlee.
This would explain the months of not hearing from us, as Sean learned
the songs and we got used to playing with him.The album won't be coming out for awhile still.. as we are in the
search for a record label to put it out. We'll slowly start playing
shows around the area to get comfortable onstage again.. which will
take some time. If there's one thing this band is good at, it's
waiting.. haha.A website is back up... this time it's WWW.THISISMESMILING.NET. It's
barebones right now, but we'll probably put an mp3 or two from the new
record up to keep everyone in suspense.I mostly wanted to say Hi to everyone, just to make sure you guys
don't think we broke up or anything. We can't wait for you to hear
our record.. it's something we're all so proud of.All in good time."

- Duvall's Volume and Density is available for sale on itunes.com and emusic.com as high quality mp3s.
- duvallmusic.com has seen another facelift. This time I had a partner in crime. Rob came by and we designed it and threw it together over this past week. So take a look it's sharp, if I do say so myself.... and I do.

A few news items from Tom
Daily!
Congratulations to Mark and Jeanne on getting hitched and the bun in the oven. Needless to say, we won't be bringing you the rock anytime soon, but you can find us at a nearby park with the young volunteers on the swings.
The everlasting recording project is still just that. I've decided to go for the record for the longest time between releases. I think Mission of Burma are the current leaders at about 22 years, so you can hear the new songs in 2023. I'm kidding, or am I?
In the meantime, the old men that call themselves Not Rebecca will be playing a show at the Fireside Bowl on Friday, May 28th. Why? Well, we're old. We don't remember things so good. What's that you say lad? Will it rock? Oh, sure. Have we ever let you down before? Well, never you mind that. We plan on staying sober and playing well. Did I mention that we are old?

Starting in April the album will be in listening stations at 70 Tower Records locations nation wide, it will also be in 45-50 listening stations at indie music stores throughout the Midwest so if you're not totally sure that the CD kicks ass (IT DOES!) you can go check it out for yourself. Also, Split Habit was just added to the Mad Caddies show @ Metro March 27th, hopefully we'll see you there!
Amazing Transparent Man - The ATM record is being mixed this week by Matt Allison over at Atlas in Chicago. We're still shooting for an April 20th release for this one. ATM and Split Habit are on tour together as we speak so go check the dates and get out to a shows, these kids are worth the cost of admission!
Ryan's Hope - Hey, we just signed another new band!! They're from lovely Joliet, IL they're called Ryan's Hope and I gotta tell ya, they can really bring the rock. We'll have some photos and an MP3 up soon so you can form you own opinion, I'll think you'll be impressed. We're looking at a possible April release for this one too if all goes according to plan
Jenny Choi - If you haven't pick up "Postcard Stories" yet you need to do it now. Lyrically it's the best album we've ever released and she has the voice of an angel. Also check out the dates for the AIR Tour on the shows page.
Fans Sign The Band - This week will mark the start of the final round of the FSB contest. This will decide who gets signed to Double Zero. I'd like to thank all the bands that submitted their music for this. I listened to everything that was sent in and wish we could have included everyone. Good luck to all of you.
Mike Felumlee - I'll be going to England with Squirtgun March 4 - 14th, it should be a great time. This Is Me Smiling's debut album is almost finished as well and it sounds amazing.

We are very excited to be working with them, and look forward to all the new ideas we have planned. We're getting ready to go into the studio and make our first record with producer Sean O' Keefe (Fall Out Boy, Spitalfield, Motion City Soundtrack) and we're pretty excited about it.
